I'm an off the wall consultant who believes in getting results. If all the client is wanting is feel good measures, then I will refuse the project. I am not afraid of hurting your feelings. If things were working how you wanted them to, then you wouldn't be looking at me. If I tried to keep things entirely within your comfort zone, we would either fail or take forever.
(Over the years, I have found that the people/companies that I get the best results for share one common trait. They agree on a set of goals, and then tell me to get it done; they want to concentrate on doing their job and not have to worry about mine.)
My primary objective with you as a client is increasing your visitors/leads/sales profitably. My secondary objective is helping you refine and/or automate your processes and workflow to minimize waste and headaches. Finally, I want to train you or your staff in how to do my job inhouse, if you want me to.
If you are just looking for page 1 in Google without even knowing if that term is viable or if your website is even converting, you have two choices:
1.) Let me show you the questions you should be asking.
2.) Keep your delusions about how trackable marketing works. Leave now, before I hurt your sensibilities. There are plenty of people out there who will take your money giving you what you think you need; I'm not one of them.

Why Have I Never Heard of You? More Info
Since 1995 I have survived strictly on word of mouth advertising. You will also not find links to any of my websites in the footers of client sites. I find that forcing or even recommending for clients to provide me with a footer link is an amateur and potentialy unethical practice. Do the Fortune 500 provide links to their designers?
Up until recently, I didn't even maintain a company website. A bit of the cobblers children have no shoes, and the lack of needing one.
This is not to say I haven't maintained any websites, they have just not been labeled as being affiliated with each other.
